Spain's companies adopt corporate wellbeing to cut mental‑health costs

Over recent years mental health and wellbeing have become key concerns in workplaces. Depression and anxiety are estimated to cause about 12 000 billion lost work days each year, amounting to roughly $1 trillion in global economic losses, according to the World Health Organization and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.

Spanish firms are introducing corporate wellbeing programmes that address physical, mental, emotional, social and financial health of staff. Such initiatives can lower stress‑related sick leave by up to 25% and boost productivity. Companies such as Playing Camp are offering stress‑relief activities and encouraging professional psychological support as a routine part of personal care, helping employees manage daily challenges more effectively.
