Spain's Public Sector Announces Thousands of New Jobs
The Ministry of Defence has launched the largest public‑sector hiring drive of the year, offering 1,323 permanent labor positions covering a wide range of professional groups. The vacancies are open to university graduates, vocational training students and include reserved slots for people with disabilities and reservist personnel. Applications are submitted online until early August.
The National Police has published a call for 2,704 new entrants to the Basic Scale, of which 541 are earmarked for military personnel and 150 for the Executive Scale. Candidates must be Spanish nationals, at least 18 years old and hold a secondary‑school qualification. The enrolment period ends on 31 July, with the first written test scheduled for 26 September.
The University of Almería has opened 21 fixed‑term administrative assistant posts that require only a secondary‑school certificate, alongside a recent intake of 31 newly appointed staff members. Applications are accepted electronically and must be submitted within a 20‑day window, after which the selection process will continue with written and merit‑based stages.
