Spain's DGT and NZI Helmets urge safe riding this summer
NZI Helmets reminds motorcyclists that a certified helmet, proper gear and heightened caution are essential even on short urban trips. The company stresses that accidents can occur just a few metres from home, especially in hot weather, and advises riders to choose a correctly sized, UN‑approved helmet that is securely fastened under the chin.
Spain’s traffic authority, the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT), reiterates the legal requirement for both drivers and passengers to wear protective helmets on all urban and inter‑urban roads. It urges riders to anticipate other traffic, avoid assuming they have been seen, and to stay alert at lane changes, turns, crossings and when vehicles are parked. The combined message aims to reduce summer‑time motorcycle injuries.
