Modern vehicles feature thin electric heating lines woven into the rear windshield. When activated, these lines warm the glass to remove condensation, fog and light ice, improving rear‑view visibility. The system is often linked to side‑mirror heating and shuts off automatically after a few minutes. While durable, the lines can be damaged by abrasive cleaning tools or strong adhesives, requiring professional repair if they fail.
