Spain's eCOMCIENCIA Project Publishes Book on Circular Economy Education

The eCOMCIENCIA project, funded under Spain’s PID2021-127019 grant, released the book *Educar para la economía circular: perspectivas educativas sobre medio ambiente y sostenibilidad*. Edited by Felipe Gértrudix‑Barrio and María José Sánchez Parray and published by Dykinson, the volume gathers interdisciplinary research on education, scientific communication, sustainability, digital culture, citizen science, and pedagogical innovation. It emphasizes the role of teachers, students, and communities as agents of change toward circular‑economy models, covering topics such as environmental education, educational robotics, living labs, open educational resources, gender equity, rural schooling, and sustainable fashion.

Alongside the publication, an online workshop titled "Cómo incluir la ciencia ciudadana en propuestas competitivas" was held on 18 June 2026. Organized by Fundación Descubre, Universidad Pablo de Olavide, and Fundación Ibercivis, the free session offered practical guidance for coordinators and researchers on integrating citizen‑science methods into funding proposals. The event was co‑financed by the Andalusian Ministry of University, Research and Innovation and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
