Spain's film festivals announce 2026 line‑ups and award winners

The Ourense Film Festival (OUFF) will run from 25 September to 4 October 2026 in the city of Ourense, featuring a competitive official international section, a Panorama Galicia showcase, a tribute to Billy Wilder, a "Lord of the Rings" exhibition, and a programme of fantasy, adventure and animation films.

Separately, the short film "El viaje de Florinda" by Paula Amor was selected for La Residencia Navarra. At the recent 22nd Notodofilmfest gala in Madrid, 23 short films received awards from more than 859 submissions, including the AC/E Talento Español prize for "Quizá sí, Quizás" and a best‑sound award for "1% de Celina". The festival jury was headed by filmmaker Dani de la Orden and included Javier Fesser, Esther García, Guillermo Fesser and Iria del Río.
