Spain's Food Safety Agency Issues Alerts on Milk in Jacobs Biscuits and Salmonella in Moringa Products

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) used the rapid‑information system (SCIRI) to announce two food‑safety alerts.

The first concerns Jacobs brand "Tuc" salty biscuits (batch 0SZ0953751, best‑before 30 June 2026). Milk was present in the product but omitted from the Spanish label. The biscuits have been distributed in Andalusia, Catalonia, Murcia, the Balearic Islands and Valencia. Consumers with milk allergy or intolerance are advised not to eat the biscuits; the agency says there is no risk for the general population and urges retailers to remove the items from shelves.

The second alert expands a previous warning about Salmonella spp. detected in organic moringa products originating from Germany. Multiple brands and lots—including capsules, powders and leaf products—are affected. AESAN recommends the withdrawal of all affected batches and advises anyone who has consumed them and experiences diarrhea, vomiting, fever or headache to seek medical attention.

Both alerts aim to protect public health and ensure the products are withdrawn from the market.
