Spain's Free Summer Art Exhibition in Mazarrón and Light Show in Torrejón Attract Visitors

The Museo del Prado and Fundación Iberdrola have brought their travelling exhibition “El Prado en las Calles” to Mazarrón, where the Plaza de las Comunidades Autónomas has been transformed into an open‑air pinacoteca. The display features 50 large‑format photographic reproductions of works by masters such as Velázquez, Goya, Rubens and Caravaggio, each accompanied by bilingual information panels and QR codes that link to additional content. The free exhibition is open to the public until 6 September, offering residents and visitors an educational experience without needing to travel to Madrid.

In Torrejón de Ardoz, the Ayuntamiento has continued the popular “Fuente del Parque Europa” programme, a free water, light and sound spectacle held at the Teatro Griego in Parque Europa. Running every weekend until 27 September, the show includes a new Eurovision‑inspired performance on Saturdays, with “Happiness” on Fridays and “Locos x los 80” on Sundays. Each evening begins at 22:30 and can be viewed by up to 700 spectators, providing a vibrant cultural highlight for the community during the summer months.
