Spain's Guardia Civil arrests multiple drug traffickers in highway raids

The Guardia Civil detained three adults – a 43‑year‑old man, a 25‑year‑old man and a 48‑year‑old woman – after stopping a vehicle at a rest area on the AP‑7 near Castelló on 1 June. A search uncovered 120 packets of hashish, four high‑end mobile phones, €105 in cash and the vehicle. The three were charged with a public health offence and placed in provisional prison.

In separate operations on the A‑8 and in Arredondo, Cantabria, two men aged 45 and 53 were stopped while traveling with their minor daughters. One was found with more than 100 g of cocaine concealed under a seat; the other had speed, cocaine, ecstasy tablets and hashish hidden in a bag and under a seat. Both were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and related offences.
