Spain's July poll shows PP leading, PSOE slipping as election approaches

A July poll of 1,014 Spanish citizens conducted by the Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas and DYM for Grupo Joly indicates that the centre‑right People's Party (PP) holds the strongest position with 34.9% of the vote, translating to an estimated 145‑149 seats in the Congress. Vox rises to 16.5%, while the governing Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and its junior coalition partner Sumar continue to lose support. The poll suggests a possible comfortable majority for an alliance of PP and Vox if trends continue.

The survey, carried out between 15 and 20 July, reflects voter sentiment following the June debate and amidst ongoing judicial investigations involving members of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez's circle. However, the poll itself focuses on electoral intentions rather than the legal cases.
