Spain's La 1 'Grand Prix' TV ratings dip to 11.1% amid summer audience split
The entertainment programme "Grand Prix" presented by Ramón García on the public channel La 1 remained the most‑watched show on Monday night, attracting 958,000 viewers and a 12.3% audience share. However, the rating fell by more than three points from the previous week, reflecting the typical summer fragmentation of linear TV viewership.
On the following Sunday, the show’s share dropped further to 11.1% with 785,000 viewers, while Antena 3’s "Una nueva vida" recorded an 11.2% share, placing it second in the prime‑time slot. Across the full day, Antena 3 reclaimed the overall lead with a 13.1% average share, ahead of La 1’s 12.4%.
The data illustrate a highly competitive open‑air market in Spain, where public broadcaster RTVE’s flagship format retains a solid base but must contend with strong private‑sector programming as audiences disperse during the holiday period.
