Spain’s Logistics Sector Grows with New Facilities and Expanded Industrial Supply Services

Spanish logistics and industrial supply companies are expanding rapidly. Dexis Ibérica, based in Zaragoza and part of the international group Descours & Cabaud, operates an 18,000‑square‑metre warehouse and a network of 26 delegations that provide daily distribution of maintenance, equipment and worker‑protection products across Spain.

In the same period, Spain confirmed its status as a premier Southern‑European logistics market as several major operators launched new projects. Prologis began construction of a 20,147‑square‑metre distribution centre at the Zona Franca in Barcelona, a 40‑year lease strategically located near the port, airport and major transport arteries. Amazon announced a €100 million investment for a high‑demand product logistics hub in Zaragoza, forecasting more than 500 direct jobs, alongside additional sites in the Madrid corridor. Other firms such as CEVA Logistics, ID Logistics, WOOP, Alcampo and Transitions Europe also announced new facilities, underscoring a broader surge in Spanish logistics capacity.
