Spain's Military Helicopter School receives H135 flight simulator
The Military Helicopter School-Ala 78 has received a Flight Training Device (FTD) to enhance training for pilots from the Spanish Armed Forces and the Civil Guard. Developed by Indra, the simulator is part of the Integrated Training System-Helicopter (ITS-H) program.
The equipment was delivered by the Directorate General of Armament and Material (DGAM) to the unit's recently inaugurated Simulation Center at the Armilla airbase in Granada. This new facility is designed to house various teaching resources, including full flight simulators (FFS), the FTD, and computer-based interactive training systems (CBIT).
The implementation of this technology aims to optimize flight time, increase training efficiency, and improve safety during the pilot training cycle. The school is responsible for providing both theoretical and practical instruction for helicopter pilots as well as maintenance courses for mechanics.
