Spain's Ministry of Transport advances railway and urban projects

The Spanish Ministry of Transport has initiated land expropriation proceedings to facilitate the electrification of the high-speed AVE line connecting Talavera de la Reina to the national high-speed network. This administrative step is a prerequisite for the electrification works, which aim to improve connectivity for the province of Toledo and fulfill a long-standing demand from the city of Talavera de la Reina.

Additionally, Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility Óscar Puente has presented the project for the Parc Central de Alicante. This urban development initiative is designed to integrate railway infrastructure into the surrounding landscape, effectively eliminating the physical divide currently created by the train tracks in the city.
