Spain's PP leader Feijóo says he will keep voting with Vox and Junts
Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of Spain's People's Party (PP), said the party intends to continue cooperating with the far‑right Vox and the Catalan regional party Junts in future parliamentary votes. He noted that the PP has already voted alongside Vox and Junts more than 170 times and that the current government is a “blocking minority.”
Feijóo added that the PP is planning for a general election next year, after concluding that Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez shows no intention to call early elections and that the opposition lacks enough seats for a successful motion of censure. He cited a recent non‑legislative motion that urged Sánchez to resign or face a confidence vote, which passed with support from the PP, ultras, post‑convergence deputies and the UPN member, but warned that Junts would likely block any future censure attempt.
