Spain's PSOE slams PP‑Vox talks in Andalusia and Córdoba mayor's stagnant record
María Jesús Montero, the PSOE‑A secretary‑general, rejected the union UGT's call for an abstention to support Juanma Moreno's investiture in Andalusia, saying the party will not aid any "privatisation of public services" and criticised the lack of transparency in PP‑Vox negotiations.
In Córdoba, the PSOE municipal group presented a report on Mayor José María Bellido’s three‑year term, calling it a "end of cycle" marked by paralysis. The party highlighted the absence of new public housing, alleged moves toward privatising the municipal waste firm, rising tariffs, and a backlog of unpaid contracts, arguing that the city’s failures stem from mismanagement and a focus on higher‑level politics rather than local needs.
