Spain's rail operators extend youth discounts into autumn and arrange bus replacements for summer routes

Private high‑speed operator Ouigo has added an extra 10 % discount to the Verano Joven promotion for travelers aged 18‑30 and will issue a 50 % coupon for trips between 1 October and 3 December 2026, aiming to keep young passengers on its network after the summer season. Renfe introduced a similar autumn offer, providing a free‑fare coupon for qualifying youth who completed at least two trips during the summer program.

Separately, Renfe will replace several Media Distancia services between Extremadura and Seville with a temporary road‑transport plan during the summer weekend period. From 20 June to 30 August, 240 buses and 80 taxis will serve the affected routes, with additional bus links between Villafranca de los Barros and Seville from 2 to 6 July while works on the Mérida‑Los Rosales line are carried out.
