Spain's regional film festivals award top short‑film prizes

The inaugural Montanejos Film Fest in the Valencian town of Montanejos concluded with the short film "Furia" by Fran Moreno and Santi Pujol receiving the Best Short award. Actress Rosana Pastor was honored with a lifetime‑career award, and other acting prizes went to Carlos Santos, Júlia Fortuna and the audience‑chosen short "Faustino".

At the 38th edition of the l’Alfàs del Pi Film Festival, the short "Polígono X" by Néstor López won the Faro de Plata and the First Prize of €4,000, recognizing its portrayal of neighbourhood rivalry on a football field. Additional awards included a Second Prize for "Una vocal", a Best Script prize for the same director, and recognitions for animation, gender‑perspective and acting categories.
