Spain's rural towns host magic festival and university music series

The municipality of Cubillos del Sil announced the tenth edition of the Cubimagia street magic festival, scheduled for July‑August 2026. The free‑air event will feature international and national magicians, including Gonza Martini, Violeta Zheng, Javier Louxor and Oliverio Satisfecho, and is promoted as a driver of tourism, community life and cultural access in the Bierzo region.

The University of Burgos (UBU) will stage its UBULive project across three towns in the province of Burgos—Covarrubias (31 July), Villangómez (12 August) and Cilleruelo de Abajo (7 November). Six university groups will perform, aiming to bring live music to rural audiences, strengthen local cultural ties and give emerging artists exposure to larger festivals. The initiative involves local associations and regional foundations to support cultural decentralisation.
