Spain's streaming services launch summer discount battle

Netflix has begun re‑offering a free trial period in Spain, but it is only granted to a subset of new users after a waiting period of up to two weeks. The trial can last 7, 14 or 30 days and is accessed via a specific email‑verification process.

At the same time, major platforms are cutting prices to attract summer viewers. Disney+ is selling its three subscription tiers at €4.99, €7.99 and €10.99 per month for three months, while Apple TV+ and Netflix are offering a month of free access. Spanish service Filmin keeps its standard €9.99 monthly fee but halves the price of its six‑month and annual plans, and Movistar+ offers its Cine‑Series‑Deportes bundle for €4.99 a month for three months, a 50% discount.
