Spain's summer barbecue boom drives demand for versatile outdoor grills
A Weber study found that one in four Spanish households owns a barbecue, and an IPSOS poll reported that 64% of Spaniards take part in barbecues during the summer months. The ritual has become a major social activity, prompting consumers to look for more adaptable and efficient outdoor cooking solutions.
Chef Gonzalo Armas, executive chef of the Madrid restaurant Carbón, advises grillers to use high‑quality charcoal such as marabú, avoid fuel tablets, and focus on building a good ember. Meanwhile, Spanish distributor Bosch Marín highlighted top‑rated models, including the Tahuna Premium gas grill with four stainless‑steel burners, an infrared rear burner, integrated lighting and a built‑in thermometer, and the Bull gas grill featuring ReliaBULL technology that improves heat distribution by up to 50% thanks to engineering input from California Polytechnic University.
