Spain’s Universities and Firms Showcase Sustainable Education at 2022 Circular Schools Congress and Awards

Accuracy, represented by Gonzalo Díaz de Espada, took part in the sixth edition of the "Escuelas Circulares y Sostenibles 2030" congress organized by the Fundación Juan XXIII. The opening panel also featured representatives from Deloitte, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, Matrix Renewables and Mercedes‑Benz Group Services Madrid. Díaz de Espada said, "In Accuracy we believe that what is not measured cannot be transformed," describing the Inclusive Circular Lab that tracks classroom actions such as waste management and composting to teach data‑driven decision‑making.

The seventh edition of the "Universidad, Conocimiento y Agenda 2030" awards was held at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized by Fundación Carolina, AECID and CRUE. More than 360 submissions were evaluated, with winners recognized for a thesis on EU climate‑action legislation and a master’s project on producing sustainable materials from mining waste and biomass. Speakers stressed the pivotal role of universities in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, integrating ESG principles into teaching, research and societal engagement.
