Spain's used electric MG4 price drops to €15,900 as LPG market stays strong

The second‑hand market for the Chinese‑built MG4 compact electric car in Spain has seen prices plunge, with listings as low as €15,900 for the 51 kWh LFP version. These cars, originally launched in 2022 at around €27,000 (including subsidies), now offer buyers a saving of €10,000‑€12,000 compared with a new model. Most used units have 20,000‑95,000 km and many still carry the original warranty.

Meanwhile, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vehicles continue to hold appeal in Spain despite a decline in registrations. Renault, the market leader for bifuel cars, keeps the technology alive by offering LPG options in the latest Clio generation and pairing them with 48‑volt micro‑hybrid systems and electric all‑wheel‑drive variants. The fuel benefits from the Spanish DGT’s Eco label, granting lower‑emission zone access and tax advantages, while Spain’s extensive Autogás refueling network and a stable price gap with gasoline further support demand.
