SPAK suspends Tropoja case involving allegations against Sali Berisha
The Special Prosecution Structure (SPAK) has suspended the Tropoja case file, which involved allegations by Ajshe and Muharrem Haklaj against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and 15 other individuals. The case was linked to the killings of four brothers: Halil, Shkëlqim, Fatmir, and Ylli Haklaj.
Ajshe Haklaj expressed deep disappointment with SPAK, stating that the prosecution lacked both the courage and the desire to investigate what she described as massive political crimes. She alleged that Berisha has been responsible for the deaths of seven members of her family and seven other close relatives. Haklaj further claimed that Berisha’s mission was to destroy the Albanian state and create a criminal state funded by foreign enemies.
