Spanish actors José Sacristán and José Mota announce new cultural projects
Spanish actor José Sacristán will perform the monologue ‘El hijo de la cómica’ at the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank in Málaga from October 22 to 25. The play, which Sacristán adapted and directed, serves as a tribute to actor Fernando Fernán-Gómez and is based on Fernán-Gómez’s autobiographical book, ‘El tiempo amarillo. 1921-1943’. The work explores the early years and youth of Fernán-Gómez, offering an intimate look at his career and Spanish history.
In Seville, actor and comedian José Mota will visit UCC Avenida on October 15 to present ‘Arriba Tutto’, his directorial debut. The film, which premiered at the San Sebastián Festival, is a comedy set in 1905 that follows a character named Michi, the son of a traveling comedian. The story explores themes of laughter and love as the protagonist seeks to rediscover his perspective on life following the hardships of war. The film stars Mota alongside Pablo Cabello, Karra Elejalde, Olivia Molina, and Diego Anido.
