Spanish agricultural markets show price gaps in zucchini and fruit

In the zucchini sector, a report by Hortoinfo based on data from the Junta de Andalucía reveals a significant gap between producer and consumer prices for the 2025/2026 campaign. Greenhouse zucchini producers received an average of 0.82 euros per kilo, while consumers paid an average of 1.91 euros per kilo. This represents a commercial margin of 132.93 percent. Prices for producers fluctuated throughout the campaign, peaking in January at 2.12 euros per kilo due to holiday demand, before declining in subsequent months.
