Spanish agricultural sector highlights olive oil industry through regional congresses and fairs

The olive oil and agricultural sectors in Spain are highlighting regional importance through major industry events. Martos is set to host the fourth edition of the ADAOVE International Congress on September 24 and 25. The event, organized by the Association in Defense of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, will focus on gastronomy, culture, health, and the economic impact of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) on traditional olive groves.

In a separate regional development, the 45th edition of Agropriego, a fair for agricultural machinery, fertilizers, and agro-food products, recently took place in Priego de Córdoba. Local officials from Fuente-Tójar emphasized the importance of the event for modernizing agricultural tools and supporting the 'Priego de Córdoba' Protected Designation of Origin (DOP), which is a vital economic driver for the rural community.
