Spanish Armada selects Alpha A900 unmanned helicopters for surveillance

Alpha Unmanned Systems has been awarded a contract by the Spanish Armada to provide Class I Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) for the Unmanned Vehicle Experimentation Centre (CEVENTA).

The contract involves the supply of at least three A900 unmanned helicopters in a maritime configuration. These units will be equipped with electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors and include vessel-based and terrestrial control stations, a flight simulator, AIS transceiver modules, and a logistics support package.

The A900 platform is designed for reconnaissance and surveillance missions, featuring a maximum take-off weight under 25 kilograms, an endurance exceeding four hours, and an operational radius of up to 60 kilometers.
