Spanish Army hosts 2E+I Forum to advance military technology

The Spanish Army held the ninth edition of the 2E+I Forum in Toledo on September 30 and October 1. Under the theme ‘Differential capabilities for the possible Force,’ the event focused on the ‘Ejército 35’ transformation project, which aims to develop more flexible, technologically advanced, and interoperable land forces.

The forum brought together military leaders, industry representatives, universities, and technological centers to align innovation with operational needs. Key areas of discussion included battlefield robotization, anti-drone combat, fire systems, and the acceleration of acquisition cycles for new capabilities.

Inaugurated by Secretary of State for Defence María Amparo Valcarce García, the event included technical panels and practical demonstrations at the ‘Los Alijares’ training ground. These demonstrations showcased recent technological developments in robotics, unmanned systems, and aerial threat protection.
