Spanish Army to deploy Benelli M4 shotguns for drone defense

The Spanish Army is set to begin distributing a first batch of Benelli M4 Drone Guardian 12/76mm semi-automatic shotguns. This acquisition, part of a contract exceeding one million euros for approximately 500 units, aims to provide platoons with a cost-effective and rapid-fire solution to counter drone threats.

Additionally, Beretta Defense Technologies (BDT), in collaboration with the Italian company Dualee, has presented the LIVET C-UAS system. This compact counter-unmanned aerial system integrates eight shotguns with an optronic aiming module into a single mount. The system is designed for easy installation on light vehicles or various protective locations to detect and engage aerial targets.
