Spanish art exhibitions spotlight memory and landscape

Espacio Joven in Santander opened the exhibition "Retratos de lo efímero" by Gabriela San Emeterio, a collection of paintings and drawings that reflect on the fleeting nature of time, the construction of memory and the value of everyday moments. The show runs through 30 June and is also available online.

In Tenerife, artist Andrés Delgado presented his series "Bancales", an installation that portrays the scarred terrain of Arico as a wounded body. Using cardboard, volcanic stone and other materials, Delgado critiques extractive practices and the replacement of traditional agriculture by solar farms, emphasizing the tension between environmental change and cultural memory.
