Spanish Association of Consumers launches cultural promotion plan
The Spanish Association of Consumers (Asociación Española de Consumidores) has introduced a Cultural Promotion Plan aimed at increasing public participation in cultural activities. Presented by President Miguel A. Ruz in Almería, the program seeks to democratize cultural consumption by reducing economic and social barriers.
Key objectives include fostering reading habits, facilitating access to cultural goods and services, and supporting the economic activity of creative industries. Proposed initiatives include discounts for concerts, theater, cinema, and museum visits, as well as book fairs and author meetings. The plan targets diverse audiences, including youth, families, and seniors, with specific measures intended to benefit regions such as Aragón.
