Spanish author Luis Goytisolo dies at 91

Luis Goytisolo, a prominent figure in contemporary Spanish literature, died at the age of 91 on the 12th. He was best known for his tetralogy *Antagonía* and the novel *Estatuas con palomas*, works that have shaped the narrative of modern Spain.

Born into a well‑known literary family, Goytisolo became an orphan at three after a bombing by Francoist troops.
