Spanish authors and Pedro Almodóvar announce autumn book releases

The autumn literary season in Spain features several highly anticipated releases from prominent authors. Filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar will make his debut as a novelist with ‘El hombre que solo escribía en los aviones’, scheduled for publication on October 29.

Other major upcoming works include ‘Los huérfanos’ by the pseudonym Carmen Mola, arriving September 9, and Arturo Pérez-Reverte’s ‘La hipótesis más peligrosa’ on October 8. Dolores Redondo is set to release ‘Todas las noches, todas las ciudades’ in November, continuing her mystery series featuring Benedict Newman. Additionally, Alana S. Portero will publish ‘Cosamala’ in October, a gothic novel inspired by the Spanish Civil War.

The season also includes new works from Andrea Abreu, Eva Comas-Arnal, and Swedish author Camilla Läckberg, covering genres ranging from police thrillers to historical fiction and cultural essays.
