Spanish authors present new literary works in Valdepeñas and Priego

Several literary presentations have taken place in Spain. In Valdepeñas, the Centro Cultural ‘La Confianza’ hosted the official launch of ‘Desahuciado ángel’, the third work in Juan José Guardia Polaino’s ‘Trilogía de los exilios’. Published by Grupo Oretania, this poetry collection concludes a trilogy that includes ‘Los exilios de la sangre’ and ‘En la patria del fuego y la ceniza’.

In Priego de Córdoba, the Centro Cultural Adolfo Lozano Sidro hosted the presentation of ‘Democracia o las trepidantes aventuras de Javier Castellar’, the third novel by writer and prosecutor Juan Gallego Alférez. The novel explores themes of political power, demagoguery, and populism, examining the mechanisms used to attain and maintain leadership while reflecting on the limits of liberal democracy.
