Spanish authors release new horror and mystery novels

Spanish authors Bea Ruiz Valverde and Ginés Sánchez are introducing new works within the horror and mystery genres.

Bea Ruiz Valverde, a graduate of the University of Almería, has published ‘Inmundo’. The novel is set in Almería during the transition from the 19th to the 20th century, focusing on the arrival of the railway and iron architecture. While her academic background is in Geography and History, she has transitioned into writing horror following her studies.

Ginés Sánchez has released ‘La extraña enfermedad de Bryan Macías’ through the SM publishing house as part of the Gran Angular collection. This young adult novel follows a 17-year-old boy whose life changes after a bicycle accident. The story uses elements of terror and mystery to explore themes of identity, physical transformation, and the fear of being different.
