Spanish authors Roberta Recchia and Rosa Montero release new novels

Spanish authors Roberta Recchia and Rosa Montero have released new literary works.

Roberta Recchia has published ‘Yo que te he querido tanto’ (Duomo), which has been awarded the Giunti booksellers' prize. The novel explores the emotional consequences of crime, focusing on the inherited guilt and social judgment faced by the families of perpetrators. Recchia notes the story is fictional but inspired by reflections on the secret lives and identities of adolescents.

Rosa Montero has released ‘Un día en la vida de Clarita’ through Alfaguara. The novel follows a 65-year-old bank employee on her final day before retirement. Described as a contemporary fable, the story examines themes of dignity, social indifference, and personal reinvention as the protagonist undergoes a transformation from a quiet, overlooked worker to a more assertive individual.
