Spanish automotive market shows growth in registrations and domestic manufacturing
The Spanish automotive market is showing signs of recovery and industrial growth. In Cantabria, vehicle registrations reached 17,547 in 2025, marking a 21.3% increase from the previous year and returning to pre-pandemic levels. Notably, 69% of passenger cars sold in the region carry ‘ZERO’ or ‘ECO’ labels, exceeding the Spanish national average by more than nine points, although diesel vehicles still dominate the total circulating fleet.
Simultaneously, the brand Ebro is experiencing significant growth through its domestic manufacturing strategy. Centered at the Ebro Factory in Barcelona, the company has seen a 223% increase in year-to-date sales compared to 2025, totaling 16,450 vehicles. In July alone, the brand recorded 2,511 registrations, securing a 2.46% market share and entering the Top 20 of the Spanish market.
