Spanish banks offer competitive savings account interest rates

Spanish financial institutions are offering various remunerated savings account options as of October 2026. According to data from Kelisto, some accounts are providing a Nominal Interest Rate (TIN) of up to 3.106%, with some rates being applicable for specific durations such as three or six months.

Unicaja has increased the remuneration for its 'Cuenta Online' to a 2.55% Annual Equivalent Rate (TAE) for new customers. This offer applies to average balances of up to 50,000 euros and does not require direct deposit of income or the contracting of additional products. The account features no maintenance fees, includes a free debit card, and allows for monthly interest payments. This move is part of Unicaja's 2025-2027 Strategic Plan aimed at enhancing digital capabilities and customer experience.
