Spanish bicycle industry shows signs of recovery in 2026

The Spanish bicycle industry is showing signs of recovery in 2026. According to the IV Bicycle Sector Barometer by the Asociación de Marcas y Bicicletas de España (AMBE), 56% of participating companies reported increased turnover in the first half of the year compared to 2025. When including brands and distributors, the figure rises to 65%.

This trend marks a significant shift from the downturn observed in the second half of last year. Only 14.67% of surveyed companies reported a decrease in sales, the lowest proportion recorded in the Barometer's history. While brands and distributors show strong growth, retail stores and workshops exhibit more irregular evolution, with many maintaining stable revenue levels as they manage excess stock.
