Spanish bullfighters Blas Márquez and Damián Castaño win multiple ear trophies in July festivals
Novillero Blas Márquez from Almería secured two ear trophies at the Castellar bullring on 18 July, completing a remarkable week that also saw him earn an ear in Marbella on 10 July and another in Valencia on 12 July. His performance in the third selection of the "Novilladas sin Picadores" highlighted his technical skill, composure and distinctive style, earning praise from judges and televised coverage.
At the Festival Taurino de Cigales, Damián Castaño cut two ears, joining fellow novice Juan Pérez Marcial, who earned one ear, in a competition that attracted a packed audience despite the hot weather.
