Spanish bullfighting festivals draw packed crowds in Toledo and Sanlúcar

The Corpus de Toledo bullfight on 7 June 2026 saw Toledo native Álvaro Lorenzo triumph, earning two ears after a flawless performance with capote and muleta. Lorenzo’s display followed a charitable event in March for the Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos.

In Sanlúcar, the traditional corrida of the manzanilla fair featured leading matadors Talavante, Roca Rey and Pablo Aguado. The event attracted a full house, with Talavante receiving the first ear of the afternoon and Aguado being awarded two ears for his outstanding finale. The festival highlighted the continued popularity of bullfighting in the region.
