Spanish cities announce upcoming Bicycle Day events

Several Spanish cities are preparing for Bicycle Day celebrations. In Oviedo, the City Council has announced traffic restrictions and road closures for Sunday, October 4. The non-competitive, family-oriented march will begin at 11:30 AM on Calle Uría. Permanent closures will affect the section of Uría between Independencia and Conde de Toreno starting at 8:00 AM to allow for event setup. The route will pass through various streets and public roads, with traffic regulated via intermittent closures as participants pass.

In Ciudad Real, the 13th edition of the Bicycle Day event is scheduled for Sunday, October 25. Organized by Cadena 100 Ciudad Real in collaboration with the local government, the ride will start at 10:30 AM from Puerta de Toledo and finish at Playa Park. The nearly 11-kilometer route will include vehicle-free sections. Last year's event saw approximately 2,500 participants, and organizers aim to maintain the event's character as a family-friendly celebration of physical activity.
