Spanish cities Ceuta and Cáceres launch family aid subsidies

The Autonomous City of Ceuta has published a provisional list of beneficiaries for a programme that will provide up to €350 per child for summer food, cultural, leisure and childcare activities during July‑October 2026. The assistance, part of the Protection of the Family and Child Poverty programme funded by the Spanish government, is aimed at minors enrolled in local public or concerted schools who meet income thresholds based on the number of children.

The municipality of Cáceres has opened a €48,500 subsidy scheme to help families cover childcare, camp and other minor‑care expenses. Applications are accepted on a first‑come‑first‑served basis until 30 November 2026 (or until funds are exhausted). The aid targets working families in vulnerable sectors, requiring proof of employment or training, residency in Cáceres and compliance with tax and social‑security obligations. Both programmes seek to support families’ ability to work or train without forfeiting children’s access to education‑related activities.
