Spain municipalities launch diverse urban infrastructure projects

Various municipalities across Spain are launching significant urban infrastructure and maintenance projects. In Talavera de la Reina, the city is bidding over 196,500 euros to replace the artificial turf at the ‘Jesús Fraile’ field following safety concerns. Alcalá de Henares is investing over 500,000 euros to transform Gran Canal, focusing on accessibility and pedestrian safety, while also planning park renovations.

In San Fernando, over 200,000 euros will be used to repair the Carrascón trail damaged by winter storms. Roadwork projects include the N-621 in Villaobispo (244,000 euros), the A-43 between Ciudad Real and Torralba de Calatrava (6.15 million euros), and the A-374 near Algodonales, where over 4 million euros are being spent to stabilize a landslide-affected area.

Other local improvements include the reurbanization of the Loureiro-Castiñáns road in Bueu (127,371 euros), the renovation of the Plaza Mayor in Campazas (128,785 euros), and the transformation of Avenida de Fonteculler in Culleredo (827,000 euros) to increase pedestrian space. Additionally, Cáceres is investing 240,000 euros in biosaludable areas and playgrounds, and is planning a 6.5 million euro renovation of the Cánovas axis. Sorbas is also allocating 370,000 euros to renew urban streets and rural paths.
