Spanish clubs Villarreal and Espanyol outline offseason plans

Spanish defender Pau Torres, currently with Aston Villa, has confirmed his intention to re‑join Villarreal on a free transfer when his contract expires in summer 2028. He said he will honor his deal with the English club before returning to the club where he began his career, and that any move will depend on the team's needs and the coach’s assessment.

Meanwhile, RCD Espanyol is conducting its pre‑season training at the Torremirona Golf & Spa resort in Navata. The squad has added three young players from the club’s B‑team to its 30‑man list: goalkeeper Llorenç Serred, centre‑back Adama Timera, and midfielder Miguel Londoño. The club is also evaluating several loanees and considering offers for other fringe players as it prepares for the upcoming season.
