Spanish coaches Dani Vidal and Xavi Pascual accept Gulf club jobs

Former Avilés manager Dani Vidal has signed with Al Waab SC in Qatar’s second division. After being dismissed from the Spanish side, Vidal said he is pleased with the new environment, noting the club uses World‑Cup‑built training grounds and offers greater resources.

Barcelona‑born Xavi Pascual has moved to coach Dubai Basketball in the United Arab Emirates. He will be joined by his trusted assistants Íñigo Zorzano and Óscar Orellana, as well as Georgian international Toko Shengelia, who terminated his Barcelona contract to join the Emirati project.
