Spanish coastal festivals draw thousands of fans in 2026
The 11th edition of the Weekend Beach Festival in Torre del Mar, Málaga, concluded with a diverse programme that included rock‑folk veterans Mägo de Oz, pop star Abraham Mateo, Latin star Myke Towers and a line‑up of electronic acts such as Boris Brejcha and Kybba. Organisers reported a highly engaged audience that stayed on site until the early hours.
In the Valencian town of Gandia, the eighth Pirata Beach Fest attracted a peak crowd of 16,500 on Saturday, featuring performances by La Gossa Sorda, Molotov, Mägo de Oz, King África and dozens of other acts. Local officials highlighted the event’s positive economic impact on hotels, hostels and campsites, and praised the security plan that resulted in no major incidents, aside from a single theft of mobile phones.
Both festivals underscored the growing role of beach music events in boosting tourism and local economies along Spain’s coasts.
