Spanish coastal regions report health initiatives and beach safety warnings
In the l’Albir beach area, Cruz Roja is concluding its summer health promotion campaign. Supported by the l’Alfàs del Pi City Council, the initiative has utilized the Biblioplaya del Albir to host wellness activities, including yoga sessions, first aid demonstrations, and health monitoring such as blood pressure and oxygen level checks.
Meanwhile, in the Tarragona region, Protecció Civil has issued red flag warnings for five beaches due to poor sea conditions following recent heavy rainfall. Swimming is prohibited at La Móra, Tamarit, and Cala Jovera in Tarragona, as well as at Calafell and La Riera in Cambrils. The red flag indicates high risk due to factors such as dangerous waves, strong currents, or agitated sea states.
