Spanish coastal towns host youth summer beach festivals
Algeciras' El Rinconcillo beach welcomed hundreds of teenagers for the "Fiesta de la Espuma" on a summer evening. The free event featured live music by DJ Álvaro Cantudo, the group Axis and artist Merlo, as well as animation and a raffle for Bahía Park water‑park tickets. Mayor José Ignacio Landaluce and Youth Council delegate Francisco Arango attended and praised the programme as part of the city’s effort to expand quality leisure options for residents.
In Puerto del Rosario, the municipality and the Cabildo of Fuerteventura launched the third edition of "Puerto Joven" at Playa de Los Pozos from 8–10 July. The three‑day festival offered a free mix of sport, music and technology, including beach football, volleyball, surfing, a new gaming zone, and workshops. Local artist ELEDER performed, and the final night was headlined by Puerto Rican urban singer Brytiago. Mayor David de Vera, Youth Council member Jenifer Pérez and other officials highlighted the event’s role in providing healthy, creative recreation for the island’s youth.
